Great Smoky Mountain Council

Cub Scout age boys (1st-5th graders as of Fall 2007) are invited to a camp filled with fun activities and fellowship. Boys will learn new skills and advance toward their ranks through an action-packed program, including shooting sports, arts and crafts, woodworking, sports, and more!

The Cub Scout Day Camp Program provides an introduction to Scouting's Outdoor Program. Activities are conducted in an outdoor setting, close to home and during daylight hours.

Shooting Sports The program provides an opportunity for continuation of the Cub Scout program and advancement throughout the summer. Program activities include; crafts, hiking, nature study, games, field sports, archery, and BB gun shooting.

Scouts participating in Day Camp are better prepared and eager to accept the challenge of residential camping. Cub Scout Day Camp is not attended as an advancement camp. Instead, through supervised activities, boys develop self-reliance and resourcefulness, learn age appropriate skills, establish new friendships and, of course, have lots of FUN.

Cub Scouts will be placed in dens with scouts from their home pack whenever possible. Individual scouts will be grouped with boys of the same age. We strongly encourage dens to participate in the week-long activities together, with their den leader. and welcome pack leadership to , but it is not required. Parents are always welcome to participate and to take advantage of car-pool opportunities.
